Lancaster Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) is seeking a qualified candidate to perform construction work and manage crews of employees, partner families, or volunteers as directed by the site leadership.
Ensure safety practices are implemented at all times.
Teach the necessary skills to workers to enable them to complete tasks.
Perform quality assurance of all work.
This is a skilled construction position and hands-on site experience as well as leadership and communication skills are a must.

By building and preserving affordable housing through new construction, renovations, and home repairs, Habitat LA is transforming communities throughout Los Angeles County.

On average, the affiliate builds and renovates 100 homes in the Los Angeles region each year, ranking it among the largest affiliates nationwide.
SUMMARY OF
Essential Functions:
Carry out work to complete tasks as assigned.
Provide leadership to work crews at home repair sites.
Teach needed skills to volunteers.
Always ensure appropriate safety practices.
Assist site leadership to plan daily work tasks and materials needed for project schedules.
Assist site leadership in maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Always maintain a professional presence and communication with all personnel onsite.
Ability to run the job site for short periods of time as directed by the Site Supervisor (this includes but is not limited to opening and closing the job site, material runs, monitoring and addressing site safety issues, communicating clearly with management the daily and weekly site goals) SUMMARY OF JOB

leadership experience Strong communication and problem solving skills High School Graduate or commensurate level of experience This is a full-time position.
The work schedule is Tuesday-Saturday, 7:
30 AM - 4:
00 PM with some evenings and weekends.
The position requires local travel in the normal course of performing job duties with mileage reimbursement.
Must have access to reliable transportation to perform job duties, a valid CA driver's license and meet the state-required amount of personal automobile liability insurance.
Although no longer required, we strongly encourage all employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 and will continue to require all employees to submit their vaccination status by the date of hire.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background check.
