Formerly Incarcerated Preferred We are seeking to hire an individual for a full-time position of facilitating classes and providing case management for a group-based, transformative mentoring, trauma-informed program for our Youth Overcoming (YO!) Program.
The YO! Program is focused on individuals 18-25 years old who have been justice-impacted.
Mentors (preferably formerly incarcerated) will provide support, facilitate groups, create positive relationships with participants, provide case management, do outreach, and act as examples and mentors.
This position requires an individual of good character who is able to present themselves as a positive role-model and provide mentoring, insight, learned-experience, and integrity.
This individual should be respected and trusted in the community and have positive, pro-social ties to that community with an understanding of the experiences and cultural intricacies of the justice impacted population.
Responsibilities Facilitating and guiding classes according to pre-set trauma based curriculum Create a safe space and establish healthy behavioral norms that will allow all participants to feel safe and respected while participating in the program Provide Case Management and connection to community resources for class participants Promote skills acquisition, problem-solving, emotional awareness, pro-social learning, and positive alternatives to anti-social or self-destructive habits Document participants progress and needs in HMIS/CHAMP Use of excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Utilize problem-solving and crisis intervention skills Preparation of lesson plans and educational space for scheduled class sessions Maintaining a positive, can-do, and professional attitude at all times Embody The Catalyst Foundation's Core Values as a part of everyday operations Must have and maintain a valid California driver's license and be able to be added to the organization's insurance Pay Rate $20 - $24 (Depending on experience) Job Type Full-time, non-exempt Work Location CHW will work in person at The Catalyst Foundation's main office, where conditions are usually quiet or below 85 decibels.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
