9 Quick Apply Temporary 19 hours ago Full Job Description Career Care Institute is hiring an Obstetrics Nursing Instructor for our RN (ADN) Program.
Mission Under the direct supervision of the ADN Program Director and/or Assistant Program Director, full time and part-time nursing faculty assume responsibility and accountability for instruction, instructional counseling, academic advising, evaluation of student and course outcomes, and planning, implementing and evaluating curriculum content.
The Board of Nursing and Career Care Institute pre-licensure nursing program considers part-time faculty share the same responsibilities as full-time faculty.
Duties and Responsibilities In addition, the Theory/Clinical Instructor is responsible for the following duties:
Clock in and out accordingly Provide weekly audit reports Attend all staff meetings.
Cooperate with supervisors, director(s), students, and advisory board members for improvement of the curriculum Have expertise in their field and able to demonstrate all training procedures Report any major problems to the Campus Director and/or ADN Program Director Demonstrate a commitment to professional nursing Participate in professional organizations through active membership Participate in local, state, and national activities, including presentations, designed to enhance the profession Demonstrate commitment to the college and program Under the direction of the DON and with the Policy and Procedures Committee assist with the development of policies and procedures and evaluation of aspects of the program as assigned Comply with all college and program policies and procedures and regulatory and accreditation standards Effectively communicate to students and college/program faculty and staff Contribute to the development of faculty and student learning resources Participate in tutoring, remediating, and mentoring per scope and as assigned Promote student and faculty recruitment through networking and career/college fairs Complete faculty orientation program, review program curriculum, policies and procedures, strategies for teaching, and responsibilities related to student supervision and evaluation Utilize Best Practices to enhance the learning environment Identify students at risk of not achieving clinical course outcomes in order to assist with corrective action plans and remediation.
All remediation must be discussed with the Program Director/designee and the Content Expert/Lead Instructor Consider clinical trends and support clinical practice with evidence Other duties as assigned The fact that certain duties may not be listed does not limit the performance of additional duties.
Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree from an accredited college which shall include courses in nursing, or in a natural behavioral or social science relevant to nursing practice; Direct patient care expertise within the previous 5 years in the nursing area to which he or she is assigned, which can be met by:
1 year's continuous, full-time or its equivalent experience providing direct patient care as a registered nurse in the designated nursing area; or 1 academic year of a registered nurse level clinical teaching experience in the designated nursing area or is equivalents.
