Quick Apply Full-time 1 day ago Full Job Description The Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist provides direct clinical services to individuals (children and adolescents) and their families.
The MHRS provides field-based services at the client's residence, school, place of work, or other appropriate locations throughout the community.
The MHRS utilizes one or more Evidence-Based Practices or provides services within specific guidelines as approved by the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LAC DMH).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES General responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Receive, review and promptly schedule intake sessions Ability to manage a caseload of 15-20 clients, providing billable services for no less than 70% (28 hours) of a 40 hour work week if Full Time.
Part Time requirements are 11.
8 client care hours weekly.
Conduct appropriate assessments, diagnose, and develop objectively quantifiable treatment plan.
Provide individual, group, or family therapy and psychological education as specified in Treatment Plan, and as required per the selected EBP.
Maintain accurate, thoroughly documented client records with a quality of documentation that meets or exceeds both Alafia and DMH standards.
Submit progress notes, itineraries, and productivity logs as required.
Coordinate activities with intra- and inter-agencies (DCFS, DMH, and other community providers as needed) to provide enhanced mental health services for clients Direct Case Managers in meeting health, educational, religious, recreational, social, emotional, and psychological needs of each child/family by initiating referrals, providing direct linkage to community resources and conducting follow-up as needed.
Willingness to travel throughout Service Area to provide field-based services in homes and schools Provide progress reports as requested by client and as appropriate Participate in individual and group supervision Attend case conference/case planning meetings as required or necessary to ensure coordination of care Attend staff development and general staff meetings Maintain client confidentiality as per HIPPA and agency standards Abide by the CIHSS/Alafia professional code of ethics and model CIHSS/Alafia values Demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences Computer literacy is required.
Must be able to use Word, Excel, send/receive email, and agency electronic records management system (training provided).
